Suzanne S. Long
Suzanne Long represents buyers and sellers in connection with residential and commercial real estate transactions. She prepares deeds, drafts and reviews mortgage and refinancing documents, and conducts settlements. She also handles escrow and disbursement of funds and recordation of documents.
Suzanne also drafts real estate purchase and sale contracts, as well as leases. She conducts title review and handles the correction of title defects.
In addition to her real estate work, Suzanne has significant experience in all aspects of municipal finance, including representing lenders and underwriters in connection with loans and bond financings for infrastructure projects throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the Virginia Resources Authority (VRA), the state infrastructure and bond bank. In connection with her role at VRA, she managed a team of 14 finance professionals, liaised with members of the General Assembly regarding infrastructure related matters and served as General Counsel in connection with bond financings. Suzanne also has general corporate experience, representing clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions, entity formation, and drafting partnership and joint venture agreements.
